Code of Conduct

Sometimes I am asked to review products or write for particular sites. Other times I ask to review a product or write for particular sites.

I accept books and products for review.

I will always be truthful in my review of products. I will never review a product unless I can be honest in my assessment of it, however the maker or supplier of the product may choose to ‘pull’ the article if they do not believe the review is in a positive light. Likewise, after reviewing a product I may refuse to publish the review on my site if I believe it is not suitable for my readers. I will always disclose if I have been supplied with the product at no cost.

I accept offers to write for other sites and blogs.

I ask that I be credited for my writing and also that a link to my site be published at the end of the article.

I accept offers for others to write for my blog.

I will credit the author and also include a link to their blog/site.

I would (maybe) accept free trips and accommodation.

I haven’t been offered a trip or accommodation for free or at a discount, but I feel that I should have a set of guide lines should it ever occur.

As with my reviews of books and products, I will be truthful in my assessment of accommodation, transport and the trip in general.

I will be honest in my dealing with my readers never deliberately misleading them.

I will abide by the policies, procedures and Code of Conduct of the sites and blogs I may write for and those of the companies who make the products I review. I will abide by the Code of Conduct of the publishes of the books I review. I ask that whose who may write for my blog are respectful of my Code of Conduct when writing an article for my blog.
